Permission to use the app

You may install and use PDF Tools for lawful personal or business document tasks, subject to these terms and the rules of the store from which you obtained it. You must have the rights and permissions needed to process and share your documents.

Your documents and signatures

You retain ownership of documents, images, scans, and signatures you use with the app. Processing them does not transfer ownership to the developer. You are responsible for their content, lawful use, storage, and sharing.

The signature tool places a visual signature on a PDF. It does not verify identity or provide a certificate-based digital signature, and we do not guarantee that a signed document meets a particular legal or institutional requirement.

Processing results and backups

PDF processing occurs locally. Results depend on document structure, device resources, and selected settings. Compression may reduce image quality and may not reduce every file’s size. Unsupported, damaged, or password-protected files may not be processed.

Keep backups of important originals, check page order, content, image quality, and signature placement before relying on or sharing an export. File deletion may permanently remove the underlying document. App-private documents and signatures can be lost when app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled.

Acceptable use and ownership

Do not use the app unlawfully, infringe others’ rights, interfere with its operation, or distribute malicious content. Do not copy, sell, redistribute, or modify the app itself, remove ownership notices, or reverse-engineer it except where applicable law or an applicable open-source license permits.

The app’s software, design, branding, and other developer-provided materials belong to the developer or their licensors. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses.

Advertising and optional purchases

The app may show advertising. Advertising and privacy choices are explained in the Privacy Policy. If an optional paid feature or remove-ads purchase is offered, the app and Google Play show its price and conditions before confirmation. Only features explicitly included in the offer are covered. Google Play handles payment, purchase restoration where supported, and refunds under its applicable policies and mandatory consumer law. Availability may vary by app version and region.

Third-party services and connectivity

Core document processing works locally. Advertising, analytics delivery, crash reporting, purchase services, and initial scanner-component downloads may require internet access. Google Play services, Google Play, and any destination you choose for saving or sharing files are subject to their own terms and availability. The developer does not control those services.

Updates and availability

We may update, change, or discontinue app features for compatibility, security, or other operational reasons, subject to applicable law and any paid entitlement. Some features depend on Android version, device capabilities, available storage, or Google Play services.

Disclaimer and liability

To the extent permitted by law, PDF Tools is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, error-free output, fitness for a particular purpose, or document compatibility. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the app, including loss of documents or reliance on processing results.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, consumer guarantees, or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

The Privacy Policy explains local document storage, Google services, sharing, and your choices. Please review it when using the app.
